FASHION DESIGN - COMMERCIAL WORK

For the past 10 years I have been working as a fashion designer. I have worked with more artistic and experimental projects as well as commercial fashion at Lindex and MQ.

My commercial work has included the development of new collections and products as well as research for colors, trends and concepts for the coming season. Working at these fashion chains has meant close collaborations in smaller teams but also the experience of being part of a larger organization. Work has also meant developing on site and securing production quality, and therefore, many trips to Shanghai and Hong Kong, where I have had a close collaboration with suppliers and production offices.

Having to work closely with the production countries has given me valuable experience and understanding of other cultures and the collaboration with people from different backgrounds has made me grow as a person as well as a designer.

 

Working creatively in a sometimes harsh commercial environment has been challenging and given me many experiences. I have learned to make quick decisions, to be responsive to others while at the same time daring to believe in, and to communicate, my own ideas.
